Jennifer Opare-Aryee (MCIPD) Director

Joa HR ConsultingI am MCIPD qualified with a master’s degree in human resource management. My qualifications are complemented with over 20 years strategic and operational HR experience. My career started in the hospitality sector, but I moved to the national health service (NHS) after 9/11. I have held several senior roles in local authority, central government, not for profit organisation, NHS and in the private housing and construction business.

JOA HR Consulting was initially establish due to my need to change the narrative and have autonomy over the nature of roles and clients I work with and choose how and where I work. However, in December 2017, my drive and reason for setting the business changed when I lost my beloved grandmother. She was a parent and a friend, and her loss had a profound impact on me. In seeking to honour her memory my narrative for JOA to impacting lives and creating a legacy through the Mary Sowah Foundation. A not-for-profit organisation to support children’s education in Accra, Ghana.

I am determined for JOA to succeed to enable Mary Sowah Foundation to break the generational cycle of poverty that restricts a child from accessing education. This social consciousness means that when you work with me or JOA as a business owner you can expect impactful people management solutions centred on your business objectives through your employees.
